SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF UV STABILIZERS FOR POLYMERIC MATERIALS BASED ON TRIAZINYLAMINOBENZOTRIAZOLE

摘要
Four new compounds, derivatives of triazinylaminobenzotriazole, containing a polymerizable allyloxy group have been synthesized. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, TLC, IR, UV/VIS and H-1-NMR spectra. Polystyrene has been prepared in the presence of the compounds. Chemical bonding of the UV stabilizer in the polymer was confirmed spectro-photometrically. The spectral characteristics of the compounds-absorption and fluorescence, have been investigated, establishing that 45 to 85% of the compounds are bound. It has been found that a maximum stabilizing effect is achieved at 1 wt% initial concentration of the stabilizer. A structure-photostability relationship has been sought.
