EXTENSION OF THE KADIC-EDELEN GAUGE-MODEL - ELECTRONIC-PROPERTIES OF DEFECT SYSTEMS

摘要
It is shown that the electronic properties of materials with dislocations and disclinations may be viewed in the framework of the gauge approach. For this purpose the Lagrangian of the Kadic-Edelen model is extended by adding electronic terms in the gauge invariant form. The exact monopole-like solution for static disclinations is considered. The Schrodinger equation in the presence of a static monopole-like disclination is studied. When the interaction between electron fields and acoustic waves is present, electrons with E < E(F) are found to be localized in the region of the core of disclination.
