摘要
The Raman echo is the first of the eight-wave mixing spectroscopic techniques to be experimentally demonstrated in molecular systems. Practical results achievable in such high-order experiments are described. Signal levels, competing non-linear effects, phase-matching requirements and other experimental design considerations are discussed. Results needed to predict the success of experiments at different power levels, Raman cross-sections and concentrations are presented.
