摘要
It has been found that poly U is a competitive inhibitor of tRNA for its charging by purified lysyl-tRNA synthetase from yeast, while it is not inhibitory for yeast phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase. Lysyl-tRNA synthetase can be shown to form a complex with its specific tRNA and with poly U. Poly U can be largely displaced from the enzyme by the addition of tRNA at a ratio ( tRNA poly U) where the charging reaction is hardly inhibited. Poly A does not form a complex with the enzyme and does not inhibit the attachment of lysine to tRNA. © 1969.
