The voltammetric behaviour of poly(p-phenylene) obtained by oxidation of benzene in trifluoromethanesulfonic acid solution has been tested in different electrolytes. For the first time we show a relaxation effect (the so called ''memory effect'') characterized by a logarithmic law between the voltammogram parameters and the waiting time in the neutral state (at 0 V vs Ag/AgCl).
