K-N INTERACTION IN THE MESON EXCHANGE FRAMEWORK

摘要
The K̄N interaction is investigated within a meson exchange model, which is constructed in analogy to the KN interaction derived previously. We obtain a satisfactory description of the existing K̄N data. The interaction model unambiguously predicts the Λ(1405) to be a quasibound K̄N state. A detailed comparison of the KN and K̄N systems, the interactions of which are partly connected by a G-parity transformation, shows that the assumption of the short-ranged repulsion in the KN system being completely due to vector-meson exchange is incompatible with empirical K̄N data. © 1990.
