摘要
A robot for the automatic screening of cervical smears will be accepted by the cytologists only if it is both accurate and fast. The iteration of neighborhood transformations made it possible to reach these contradictory targets. Several modules of our screening program are described: autofocusing, segmentation of nuclei, selection of alarms, elimination of artefacts, calibration of cells. Results on 1459 slides are presented.
