摘要
:
The infrared spectra of aldehydes CCl3CHO and CCl3CDO in the gaseous, liquid and solid states and of CBr3CHO in the liquid and solid states have been obtained in the region from 4000 to 40 cm-1. The Raman spectra of the liquids have been studied with helium-neon laser equipped spectrograph. An assignment of the observed bands has been proposed. The potential barrier of chloral in the gaseous state has been calculated from the torsional frequencies. The variation of fundamental frequencies, particularly of CO and C-H stretching and of torsional modes with the physical state is discussed in terms of CO⋯CO molecular interactions of the charge transfer type. © 1969.
