摘要
Scattering of particles at grazing angles from solid surfaces can be used to study surface channeling effects. We have used ions with a few keV primary energy scattered from Au(110) and a position-sensitive detector (PSD) to monitor the angular distribution of reflected particles. The distributions agree with theoretically expected dependencies on impact angle and azimuthal orientation. We followed these distributions through the (1 × 2) (1 × 1) phase transition of the Au(110) surface. © 1990.
