摘要
We have studied the response of CR-39 to low velocity (beta = nu/c<10(-2)) ions. We find that the REL model cannot predict the low velocity response of CR-39. Furthermore, we find that nuclear stopping is only 20% as effective as electronic stopping at changing the response of CR-39. These results imply that CR-39 will never see a low velocity monopole.
