摘要
A flow-injection method for the determination of dissolved organic carbon concentrations in natural and waste waters is described. The analysis is based on in-line UV photo-oxidation of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) to carbon dioxide with spectrophotometric detection. The method is rapid (ca. 45 samples h-1), has a linear response from 0.1 to 2.0 mg C l-1 and a detection limit of ca. 0.1 mg C l- 1. Minor modifications in the manifold can extend the linear response range to 80 mg C l-1 with a slight increase in detection limit, making the technique well suited for the determination of DOC in natural and waste waters.
