摘要
Amultiple arc system using six separate arcs which coalesce to form a large volume of ionized gas is described. The conditions for the maintenance of a stable multiple arc system are analyzed and results using an analog to investigate the current distribution for different electrode configurations are given together with photographs showing the different discharge structures.
