摘要
The polarographic reduction of Cp2TiX2 (I) (X F, Cl, Br, I) in both protic and aprotic solvents and CpTiCl3(II) and its pentamethyl derivative, (CH3)5C5TiCl3, in DMF have been studied. Reduction has been shown to proceed with successive additions of one electron on the Ti-X bond. The influence of substituents, supporting electrolytes and solvents on the reduction have been investigated. The polarographic reduction of I, II and TiCl4 have been shown to be similar, the only difference being the two-electronic character of the third stage of the reduction of TiCl4. © 1969.
