摘要：

Seven oviparous lizards were deluteinized and nine were sham operated within a mean time of less than 10 hr after they ovulated. Deluteinization induced in 14 hr as compared to 210 hr for controls' oviposition behavior which induced premature oviposition. It also reduced egg weight and disrupted egg shelling. These data demonstrate for the first time that corpora lutea function to control gravidity and shelling in a reptile and suggest a corpus luteum hormone responsible for this control. An undescribed ovulation behavior and its possible hormonal control is also described. © 1979.
