摘要
Ge (110) surfaces were in-situ observed with scanning tunneling microscopy during cooling to room temperature after annealing at 720 degrees C. The observation led to an interesting finding that 2 x 16 and c(8 x 10) structures, which were accepted to be reconstructed structures at the clean Ge (110) surface, were quite different in symmetry but had a considerably similar geometrical relationship with each other in atomic structure.
