摘要
We report magnetoresistance results for aleph-(BEDT-TTF)2 Cu(NCS)2 at temperatures down to 50 mK and in fields up to 27 T. For both transverse (I parallel-to b,c) and longitudinal (I parallel-to a*) configurations a single fundamental frequency of 597 +/- 7 T was found for B parallel-to a*). The angular dependence of the fundamental is found to follow a 1/cos-theta law, as expected for two-dimensional case, up to the highest angle measured (69-degrees). From the absence of a beat pattern between 8 T and 27 T we estimate the variation of the cross-sectional area of the cylinder to be less than 1%. Above 20 T we observe a set of high frequency oscillations at frequencies F(p) = (2650 + (p-1) x 600) T (p = 1..5) which we attribute to large orbits due to magnetic break-down. All observations are in agreement with existing band structure calculations.
