摘要
The attenuated Doppler-shift method has been used to measure the lifetimes of the first two excited states in 29P produced in the 28Si(p, γ) reaction. The measurements were analysed using theoretical stopping cross sections. Values of 285±80 fs and 290±70 fs were obtained for the mean lifetimes of the 1381 and 1955 keV first and second excited states, respectively. Comparison with the corresponding levels in the mirror nucleus 29Si shows strong similarities. The observed E2 enhancements in both nuclei indicate the importance of the 28Si core. © 1969.
