摘要：

Halogenation of bis(8-quinolinolato)copper(II) with N-halosuccinimides revealed that on monochlorination a mixture of 5- and 7-chloro chelates was obtained, whereas, on monobromination, only the 5-bromo chelate and on monoiodination the 7-iodo chelate formed. Convenient syntheses of 7-chloro-, 7-bromo, and 7-iodo-8-quinolinols from 8-quinolinol derivatives were also achieved. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
