摘要
Potential-modulated reflection spectroscopy (PMRS) is seen to be one of the most promising methods for studying passivation phenomena of corrosion resistant metals and alloys in aqueous solutions because it provides sensitive and in situ detection of the phenomena. The theory and experimental techniques of this method were first explained. Then, methods for the qualitative and the quantitative analysis of metal ions in passive films were examined. Finally, some results of the analysis of passive films formed on metals and alloys under controlled potentials in aqueous solutions having various pH values were reviewed. © 1990.
