Optically active gamma-trimethysilylallylamine derivatives were prepared from gamma-trimethylsilylallyl alcohols via i. derivatization to carbonates and ii. palladium-catalyzed, regioselective allylic substitution by nitrogen nucleophiles without loss of the enantiomeric purities of the starting alcohols.
