摘要
Solutions of S2N2 in dichloromethane react with antimony pentachloride (in excess) to form a diadduct S2N2(SbCl5)2 which can further react with S2N2 to form a monoadduct S2N2SbCl5. The monoadduct can be reconverted to the diadduct by treatment with SbCl5. The physical and chemical properties of these compounds indicate that the S2N2 ring structure is maintained intact. The monoadduct S2N2SbCl5 reacts irreversibly with S2N2 to form both the previously characterized S2N2SbCl5 and, in lower yields, a less reactive material (S2N2SbCl5)x. Antimony pentachloride acts as a catalyst for the dimerization of S2N2. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
