UNFOLDING PROCEDURE FOR SLOWLY VARYING PULSE-HEIGHT SPECTRA PRODUCED BY BETA-PARTICLES IN SI(LI) DETECTORS

摘要
The energy response of a lithium drifted silicon detector to monoenergetic electrons from radioisotope sources has been determined for a defined geometry. Using a simplified version of this response, an unfolding procedure has been developed which allows continuous slowly varying electron spectra to be obtained from recorded pulse height spectra. The procedure has been applied to the pulse height spectrum produced by β particles from 137Cs. © 1978.
