INVESTIGATION OF DIFFUSION OF CO ADSORBED ON PD(111) BY A COMBINED PEEM/LITD TECHNIQUE

摘要
A recently developed photoemission electron microscope is used to measure concentration profiles of CO adsorbed on a Pd(111) surface. Combination with laser-induced thermal desorption provides the possibility to determine diffusion coefficients, including their concentration dependencies. The results can be compared with information about bonding sites of Co on Pd(111) and results from Ni, Rh and Pt(111) surfaces.
