摘要
The role of hydrophobic alkyl groups of long-chain alcohols to antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes is discussed. The maximum activity was found to depend on the chain length from the hydrophilic hydroxyl group, and also the bacteria tested.
