摘要
This paper examines the surface topography characteristics of steel workpieces in finish machining using end mills. The investigation is conducted through computer simulation and cutting tests for stable machining, low immersion ratios, and finish feeds. The results show good agreement between the simulation and the experimental results for sharp and moderately worn tools. The model presented in this study could, therefore, be implemented in CAD/CAM packages.
