摘要
Heat capacity of DyIn3 in the temperature range between 1.2 and 35 K and in the magnetic field up to 5 T is reported. It is found that the transition to the antiferromagnetic state (T(N) = 19.35 K) is of second order. At low temperatures, in comparison to T(N), the heat capacity has T3 exp (-DELTA/T) dependence with the energy gap DELTA in the spin-wave spectrum equal to 8.2, 6.0, and 4.3 K in zero magnetic field, 3 and 5 T, respectively. In the paramagnetic state the crystal field contribution to the heat capacity is analysed.
