Structures have recently been determined for the yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe cell cycle regulatory protein, CKS/suc1, and its human equivalent. The structures provide some long-awaited clues about the role of CKS/suc1 in cell cycle control. © 1995 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
