摘要
The use of computerized Fourier analysis of magnetostriction data to obtain a high accuracy for the magnetostriction coefficients is described. This technique has been applied to measurements on a single crystal of YIG. Room temperature data were obtained using a dilatometer method. Corrections due to anisotropy and form effects were applied. Accurate values for the second degree coefficients of magnetostriction are given as well as an upper limit for the modulus of the fourth degree coefficients.
