MOTION OF FLUX LINES UNDER AN APPLIED LORENTZ FORCE AND RF PENETRATION FROM Y-89 AND CU-63 NMR IN YBA2CU3O7-DELTA

Y-89 NMR spectra in YBa2Cu3O7-delta (Y 1:2:3) demonstrate that an applied Lorentz force induces a narrowing of the line due to a decrease in the effective correlation time of flux-line (FL) motion. No effect is detected on the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation. The influence of the FL motion on the radio-frequency penetration has been investigated through the study of the amplitude of the Cu-63 NMR echo signal in magnetically aligned Y 1:2:3 powders.
