摘要
Pairs of adult male CD-1 mice interacted in an open-field social test for 5 days. Half of the pairs were then given septal lesions and half were subjected to a sham procedure. Five days of postoperative social testing followed. The lesioned animals spent more time in contact, they displayed more social behaviors and fewer nonsocial behaviors, and they were more emotional postoperatively than the control group. Although these changes in social behavior are similar to those that have been observed in septally-lesioned rats, the results do not support the prepotency interpretation of the effects of septal ablation. © 1979.
