摘要
This paper presents the continuing effort by the author and his colleagues to solve a problem inherent in the selling activities of their Company. The problem is optimisation of spare capacity: in this case of saleable advertising time, but similar problems often arise in stockholding operations where the stock can be reduced by part of a whole item.The first solution, now superseded, is presented at length because of its interesting recursive programming technique. © 1969 The British Computer Society.
