摘要
Oriented carbon films with turbostratic structure were prepared from a commercially available polyimide film Novax, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements including mosaic spread were made for the carbon films in reflection and transmission modes. The diffraction patterns for the oriented carbon films with turbostratic structure can be characterized by the 001 lines observed only in the reflection mode and the two-dimensional lattice lines of indices hk measured only in the transmission mode. Two-dimensional lattice lines terminate sharply on the low-angle sides but fall gradually in intensity on the high-angle side. The crystallinity and orientation degree of the carbon film were improved by heat treatment. The a(0) value for the oriented carbon film with turbostratic structure was determined to be smaller than that of a single crystal of graphite, which may be one of the characteristics of carbon with turbostratic structure.
