The reaction energies of Mg-25 (n, gamma) Mg-26 and Mg-25 (p, gamma) Al-m-(Al-26) have been measured as Q = 11093.24 6 and 6078.09 8 keV, respectively, which yields Q = 4232.81 10 keV for the Al-m-(Al-26)(beta+ + EC) Mg-26 decay energy. By combining it with the known Al-m-(Al-26) half-life and by applying electromagnetic corrections one obtains Ft = 3073.5 18 s for this superallowed 0+ --> 0+ decay, in good agreement with the value for the O-14 "standard" 0+ --> 0+ decay Ft = 3075.8 16 s, thus resolving a long-standing discrepancy.
