TEMPERATURE EFFECTS OF DISSOCIATIVE ELECTRON-ATTACHMENT TO CF3CL

摘要
Experimental studies of the ion yield of the reaction e(-)+CF3Cl-->CF3Cl--->CF3+Cl- at low energies, E=0-8 eV and temperatures, T=300-800 K, yield three effects: (A) A threshold peak, hardly noticeable at 300 K, becomes dominant for T greater than or equal to 700 K. (B) The first apparant (shape) resonance of the precursor ion increases and shifts from 1.4 to 1.1 eV as the temperature is raised from 300 to 800 K. (C) The second resonance at 4.7 eV is hardly influenced by increasing temperatures. These effects are interpreted in terms of simple models, including time-dependent wave packets, on a time scale of approximate to 10 fs.
