摘要
In the framework of a compact description of a non-abelian gauge theory in R4 we transcribe the extrinsic geometrical feature of surface self-intersection into a kinetic and an instanton term in the local action. We speculate on a possible correspondence with an effective theory which describes a string with extrinsic kinetic and topological terms. © 1990.
