摘要
The absorption band profiles of the solvated electron in aqueous and alcohol glasses at 6, 77, and 115 K were calculated in terms of the theory presented in our previous paper.1 We have concentrated our attention on the problem of the IR-absorbing electrons (e(IR)-), trying to explain their appearance in alcohols, deuterated water, and deuterated aqueous glasses and their lack of H2O glasses at low temperatures. The comparison between the experiment and the theoretical models provides new arguments to the discussion on the initial spectra of trapped electrons.
