DETERMINATION OF CADMIUM IN URINE BY ELECTRO-THERMAL ATOMIC-ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY

摘要
A simple procedure for the direct, electrothermal AAS determination of cadmium in urine and other materials containing high-salt concentrations is described. Optical, temperature-controlled heating of the furnace allows cadmium to be selectively atomized from the matrix at 900 °C. Matrix modification, including impregnating the carbon tube with molybdenum, further reduces the background absorption. The method is rapid, has minimal matrix interferences, and requires no sample preparation. The limit of detection is 0.05 μg/L with an average precision of 4%. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
