摘要
Dressed or solvated variables provide a scheme for the analysis of collision dynamics in a liquid or other environment. [D.M. Charutz and R.D. Levine, Chem. Phys. 152 (1991) 31]. Their time dependence is entirely due to the collision and once it is over they settle down to constant values. A simple derivation of the equation of motion for the dressed variables is presented. For realistic interactions the equation of motion can be solved numerically. The physical significance and technical advantages and pitfalls are conveniently illustrated using analytically soluble models.
