摘要
The control of lens fibre formation and the proportions of crystallins obtained in normal and transdifferentiating systems suggest a hypothesis of a hierarchy of four levels of regulation. The first two are pre-existing crystallin mRNA and the establishment of new cell contacts. Pre-existing crystallin mRNA or antigens characterize embryo retina and adcnohypophysis respectively, both of which form lens fibres in culture. © 1979 S. Karger AG, Basel.
