摘要
Water samples collected from the air-water interface in a salt marsh were analyzed for particulate numbers and size range, viable heterotrophic bacteria, cadmium, and lead. Comparison of the results with those from bulk water samples indicated significantly elevated levels of particulates, plate count bacteria, and lead in all samples examined. Data suggest elevated concentrations of bacteria and lead at the interface are a consequence of high concentrations of particulates that may serve as a site for accumulation. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
