THERMOELECTRIC POWER AND CONDUCTION MECHANISM IN NEARLY STOICHIOMETRIC URANIUM DIOXIDE SINGLE CRYSTALS

摘要
The thermoelectric power and the electrical conductivity have been measured on nearly stoichiometric UO2 single crystals in the temperature range of 170 to 1250 °K. The activation energies deduced from the thermoelectric power and the electrical conductivity curves remain unchanged between 170 and 1000 °K. However their values are different from each other. The results have been explained in terms of the small polaron theory which is in agreement with our previous analysis. Copyright © 1969 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
