摘要
Several procedures, instruments and solvents are available for extraction and measurement of oil. The choice of a method and solvent is still an open issue. When the extraction efficiencies for different solvents and different techniques do not differ appreciably, statistical comparisons of differences between the procedures can be made to choose an acceptable method. This paper presents a statistical analysis used for comparing three different solvents [Freon 113, Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), and Flon (S‐316)] with two different extraction procedures (manual and instrumental) for two different oils (Standard Mineral Oil [SMO] and Midale Crude Oil [MCO]), in estimating oil in water. © 1990 Publications Division Selper Ltd.
