A theory of radiation-induced conductivity and space-charge build-up in disordered dielectrics during continuous irradiation with charged particles or gamma-rays is developed for arbitrary spatial distributions of carrier generation and charge deposition rates. Drift and recombination of both deposited and generated carriers are considered under the dispersive transport regime. Open-circuit conditions are analysed with one electrode (either rear or front) earthed.
