摘要
SEM and HRTEM have shown that dealumination with ammonium hexafluorosilicate of the EMT and FAU end members leads to defect-free materials which have an amorphous layer covering the crystals. In contrast, the dealumination of EMT/FAU intergrowths yields materials with crevices which penetrate deep into the crystals. It is postulated that these occur in a highly intergrown region of the crystals. This is the first observation of the detailed effects of dealumination.
