THE ACCURACY OF THERMAL-WAVE INTERFEROMETRY FOR THE EVALUATION OF THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF PLASMA-SPRAYED COATINGS

摘要
The thermal wave interferometry (TWI) technique is investigated as a means of measuring the thermal and optical properties of plasma-sprayed coatings. Results obtained from a range of ceramic coatings on metallic substrates are presented with a methodology for estimation of the accuracy of the technique. The factors that determine the accuracy of the technique are discussed.
