PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE IN DILUTE CHROMIUM-IRON ALLOYS

摘要
Various experiments [1-3] on dilute CrFe alloys indicate that the Fe atoms possess local magnetic moments which are only weakly coupled to the host [1-3]. We report here on the behavior of paramagnetic resonant absorption in these alloys in the vicinity of their Neel temperatures. It is shown that the Fe moment provides a useful probe for studying the magnetization of the host material and that the behavior of the resonance line provides a measure of the Fe-Fe and Fe-Cr magnetic interactions. Further, we believe this to be the first observation of paramagnetic resonance of Fe impurities in metals. © 1968.
