摘要：

Dried leaves of Schefflera octophylla afforded a new sulphated triterpene glycoside. From spectroscopic data and chemical transformations the structure of the new constituent was determined as 3-epi-betulinic acid 3-O-sulphate 28-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1 --> 4)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1 --> 6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside.
