摘要
Owing to the ionic nature of the bonding in lanthanide complexes, their kinetics of formation and dissociation are normally very rapid. An exception are complexes with polydentate ligands. The kinetics of dissociation of aminopolycarboxylates show a path whose rate is dependent on the H+ concentration. By contrast, the dissociation rates of Ln-aminopolyphosphonate complexes are dependent on the reciprocal of the H+ concentration. These effects, as well as those due to chelate ring size and donor nature, are reviewed.
