There are three questions concerning the teaching of language and culture in a combined way at the elementary level: necessity, possibility and ways. As people have agreed with each other to the first, this paper discusses only the other two. To the second question, the author answers positively by giving an eloquent example and to the third, he suggests that a text writer should put cultural content deliberately into the text he writes and that a teacher should be sensitive to find cultural content in a ready text. In addition, he lists things that should be avoided when doing so.
