21世纪以来,随着中印两个新兴大国的崛起以及印度洋地区的复杂性和不稳定性上升,印度洋的经济和战略价值受到国际社会的日益重视。美国在将其战略重心转移到亚太地区的同时,开始更多地关注其在印度洋地区的利益存在。本文首先对美国在印度洋地区的战略利益以及战略内容进行详细解析,之后从目标、影响和制约因素三个方面对美国印度洋战略进行评估,从而更好地把握美国印度洋战略的发展态势以及对地区安全可能带来的影响。
